The West Belfast Traders’ Forum pledges to represent local West Belfast traders and businesses as a strong collective voice.
It will create business networking opportunities and collectively will attempt to resolve common problems.

The Forum will act as a vehicle in effectively marketing West Belfast.
It will spearhead the “Buy Local” campaign and will lobby the necessary statutory agencies in the interests of all its members.

We aim to:

Raise the profile of businesses in West Belfast by:

• Developing and delivering the ‘buy local’ programme.
• Facilitating and running the West Belfast Loyalty Card Scheme.
• Enhancing individual and collective marketing opportunities through digital and printed media.
• Identifying opportunities for improvement works including shop frontage enhancement.
Promote the role of trade associations by:

• Creating a positive business environment.
• Forming public policy on issues directly relating to traders.
• Supporting members with appropriate services.
• Disseminating best practice and increasing the professionalism of trade associations.

Increase awareness of business opportunities by:

• Facilitating access to tendering opportunities emanating from central and local government.
• Promoting business development by facilitating access to skills enhancement initiatives.
Enhance access to appropriate statutory contacts by:

• Facilitating dialogue with relevant statutory bodies on key issues affecting West Belfast.
• Providing a forum for discussion about joint business concerns with relevant statutory bodies.
